Hey! I’m Saraphina
I'm deeply passionate about empowering believers, couples on their journey towards emotional well-being. My joy is to help others move towards the abundant life that Jesus paid for on the cross. With several years of experience in the field of mental health, and decades in the church, I've had the privilege of guiding numerous clients towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.
My approach to therapy is centered around creating a relaxing, non-judgmental, and nurturing environment. I believe that each person's story is unique, and therefore, tailor my approach to suit your individual needs. I also enjoy leaning on The Holy Spirit to bring insight, wisdom, comfort, clarity and encouragement to our sessions.
When I'm not in the office, I enjoy being with God in my prayer closet, hiking, reading, and making music. These habits keep grounded and rejuvenated, and keep my cup overflowing. I look forward to meeting you and hearing more about your journey.
I think every person is unique, so I make sure each session is specially designed for you, based on what you need.
My approach
Biblical Counseling
The truth of God’s word reveals the nature of God which is vital to understand in order to experience the healing Jesus offers. Together we will dismantle any lies you may have believed using the truth of His word and pave the way for you to encounter The Lord in a powerful way. You will grow spiritually, find a renewed sense of hope, and learn simple practices to connect with the Ultimate Healer and Restorer of Souls.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical approach that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It works by helping you identify and understand negative or unhelpful thought patterns and how these patterns influence your emotions and actions.
EMDR
EMDR is a highly effective treatment for traumatic memories, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, trauma, and much more.
EMDR gently engages the body using things like eye movements, tapping, and/or sounds to activate your brain’s ability to “digest” painful memories. It’s the same process your brain goes through when you enter the REM stage of sleep, except that you are awake and fully in control of it all. EMDR goes beyond traditional talk therapy, often delivering faster and better results.
